When We Are Closed (for non-medical emergencies)
Outside of normal surgery hours emergency GP cover is provided by Care UK and arranged by NHS Rotherham. Please call the usual surgery number and your call will be transferred to the out-of-hours service.
For minor illnesses and injuries you can also attend the Rotherham NHS Walk-in Centre at the NHS Community Health Centre on Greasbrough Road, Rotherham, S60 1RY. No appointment is necessary and it is open every day from 08:00 - 21:00.
Pharmacy First Scheme
Most pharmacies are able to provide help and advice for a wide range of common and minor ailments.
Alternatively you can access urgent assistance by calling NHS 111. Your medical situation will be assessed and the most appropriate action taken to help you. This could simply be by offering advice or, where necessary, by making arrangements for you to be seen by a doctor.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
IN GENUINE EMERGENCY CASES ONLY, you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
